A number of events open to all delegates are being
held to compliment the main congress program, such as:
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Seminar
In 2005, the Canadian Exploration and Mining Forum, hosted by
NRCan, was held one day before the opening of CHINA MINING. Senior
officials from the Ministry of Land & Resources, China
Geological Survey and National Development and Reform Commission as
well as Chinese companies met with Canadian mining companies and
financial, legal and accounting service providers. |

TSX Seminar
For the second year in a
row, TSX with Canadian consulting firms hosted a seminar titled "The
opportunities for Chinese companies through a TSX listing."
Prominent Canadian securities lawyers and Canadian investment
dealers gave speeches on how to list on TSX. The event further
provided networking opportunities by meeting with legal and
financial advisors. Almost 200 Chinese delegates participated in the
event. |
Aon/China Minmetals Seminar
"Mining Risk Management –
A Perspective on World's Best Practice" was the title of the
seminar co-hosted by Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers Company
Limited and China Minmetals Corporation and attended by some
60 delegates on the afternoon of the closing day of CHINA
MINING. The seminar featured a world-class |

explored Mining Risk Management and debated special topics on
policies and other practical matters. Amongst others, a case
study of Minmetals Corp. about mining risk management was
presented and received a great interest. |

Gala
Dinner
The Gala Dinner, held on the night of
November 16, in Crown Plaza, was completely sold out, hosting
over 700 delegates. Minister Sun Wensheng of the Chinese
Minister of Land & Resources was one of the VIP attendees.
The Gala Dinner gave delegates the opportunity to liaise with
other participants of CHINA MINING |

atmosphere while enjoying traditional Chinese food and
entertainment performances. |
Launch of Mining Journal
CHINA
Mining Journal CHINA, China's independent monthly
mining magazine, which is partly based on contents from the Mining
Journal family, was launched during CHINA MINING 2005. Mining
Journal CHINA focuses on hot topics and developments in China's
mining industry, as well as China's relations with international
partners. |

Mine Site Visit
Offered to CHINA MINING
participants for the first time ever in 2005, the China Mining
Association organized a post-event mine site visit to the Jinchuan
Nickel Mine in Gansu. The visit was an opportunity to meet one of
China's most important mining players. Post event mine visits will
be held again in 2006. Information will be available soon. |
