Canada-China Exploration & Mining Forum
Given the great success of the Canadian Exploration and Mining Forum in CHINA MINING 2005, NRCan has confirmed to hold the forum again during CHINA MINING 2006. NRCan has hosted this Sino-Canadian event one day before the opening of CHINA MINING. Chinese senior officials from the Ministry of Land & Resources, the China Geological Survey and National Development and Reform Commission, as well as invited Chinese companies met with invited Canadian mining companies and Canadian financial, legal and accounting service providers.

Australia-China Seminar

The Australian Embassy, Geoscience Australia, Invest Australia, Austrade and the State Governments of Australia, together with the China International Mining Group (CIMG) hosted a full day program that consists of the "Australia-China Mining Seminar", "State to State: Mining in the Provinces – Creating Potential" as well as an evening networking cocktail on 13 November 2006.

The purpose of the "Australia-China Mining Seminar" is to further promote two-way trade and investment in the mining sector in China and Australia and abroad. The "State to State: Mining in the Provinces – Creating Potential" focused on mining in the Provinces in China and those wishing to attend should contact the CIMG to register. Both of the these events, as well as the evening cocktail function, are perfect opportunities for Australian, international and Chinese mining companies to address mining and investment issues and meet contacts that will facilitate trade and investment between China and the broader global mining community. These events were held in the newly opened Ritz Carlton Hotel on Financial Street in the western part of Beijing.
